Kampung

Assalamu'alaikum! It has been a long time since I've been here. May all of you be in the best of health and iman, Insya'Allah. :)

This past CNY holiday was supposed to be a long gateway for the family to Malaysia. Sadly, there were things holding the family back from leaving on Wednesday. The plan was to relax 'kat kampung' for 2 days and travel up to Malacca and Kuala Lumpur on Friday to indulge the beautiful food that awaits. Hmmm. Well, kita merancang, Allah menentukan, right?

On Friday afternoon I had some school things to settle and so the family departed after the Friday prayers. The drive up to Batu Pahat is awesome I can say. The beautiful, majestic scenery, Subhanallah. While taking it all in, I thought to myself, where can I find these places in Singapore? The mountains, terraces, hectares of land, the greenery! Masya'Allah.. The world would be a better place if such places are being reserved.

This reminded me of my time spent with Maju last year at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. The smell of the wet moldy grass, being surrounded by trees, climbing up to the summit! But best of all was the small small stream that we drank from. Ya Allah.. This is the only place left I think in Singapore, which offers such rich beauty.

Then it hit me; all of this would not be possible without the presence of the Sun. That glowing ball of fire that hangs in the sky since Adam AS. Do you guys not notice, that this is the same Sun that has been seen by all the anbiya's, waliyullah and obviously our beloved Rasulullah SAW. This is the Sun, that we share. The same Sun that has brought light to us all. Subhanallah.. It is the one thing that we share with him that we often forget, the same thing we see everyday. If this one obvious object hanging in the sky for all to see, that one thing that we share with Rasulullah SAW, and we are still oblivious. What about the rest; how blind are we? Ya Allah..

We arrived Batu Pahat at around 9pm and this is my favourite part of all!! When I looked up to the sky, I saw thousands and millions(!) of stars glittering the night sky! Subhanallah!! I have never seen so many stars in my entire life! They are the true diamonds of the night sky. They were twinkling, dancing and smiling back at me as my face lit up when I saw such beauty. I am so jealous of these rural parts of the world. The people are able to enjoy the rich gifts of Allah to this world. I yearn for such view and peace..
