Evergreen.

Hello beautiful people.

A great day was spent with the class yesterday. A class excursion was held for our Geography lesson. We went hiking at The Bukit Timah Nature Reserve Park here in Singapore.
I had one of the best times of my life.

The place was absolutely magical. I loved the smell of the air. That grassy, wet, mouldy smell you get when you are surrounded by trees.

The hike to get to the summit was pretty tiring-I wouldn't say challenging. The slopes were very very steep and it really used all of my leg muscles. But it was worth the climb. The summit was a really beautiful place. A hut was placed on the heart of it which was covered in beautifully trimmed green grass. It was so tempting that I could not resist myself from lying on the ground.
At that point, the sky was in baby blue and the trees, oh so green. I just loved everything.
The others joined me on the ground and all of us looked up into the beautiful sky. How beautiful is Allah's creation. You have to experience such a thing yourself to get that feeling.

Since time was deficient, we had to leave as soon as possible. The trip back was as awesome. The way back down from the summit was a lot tougher than we thought. The steps were really high that we had to stretch our legs just to get down. We decided to walk on the forest path instead of the one we got on when we arrive to get some forest feeling. This, was the best.

I paired with my best friend and Yusra tagged along at the back. We were the very firsts ones in line with a few others. Since Yusra's been there loads of times, she kinda led the way, leaving the group behind. We followed the jungle roots and rocky paths and arrived at this small stream. It was so beautiful. Yusra said that the water was safe to drink. I was not really into her words until she splashed me with water. Some of it went into my mouth and that was when I knew that the water was safe to drink.

I crouched infront if the stream and cupped my hands into the water and brought it to my mouth. The water was so cold and it felt so good running down my throat. It tasted pure. Never have I taste water so pure. I loved it. It was like, a mixture of evian and fiji, but better. The best part of it was, it was cold! I tried searching for water which would taste the same, but failed. I drank water for the ground and it tasted better than any other bottled water. It was amazing.

We continued walking down with our own small group when we reached a crossroad. There, we waited for the others. It started to drizzle then, and everything felt so good. I was laughing and joking with my friends while taking in all my surroundings. The rain was falling on my face, and I did not feel the slightest of disgust. I just loved it.

I intend to return and go hiking again. It was truly an amazing experience.
